Equal Opportunity Compliance and Enforcement

United States Department of Labor Civil Rights Center

The CRC administers and enforces various federal statutes, regulations, and executive orders that relate to non-discrimination and equal opportunity. 

United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

The vision of the EEOC is to achieve a strong and prosperous nation secured through a fair and inclusive workplace; it's mission is to promote equality of opportunity in the workplace and enforce federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination.

Kansas Human Rights Commission

KHRC works to ensure equal opportunities in all employment relations to prevent and eliminate discrimination, segregation and separation. Kansas laws protect persons from discrimination in employment, housing and public accomodations.

United States Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration

The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) administers federal government job training and worker dislocation programs, federal grants to states for public employment service programs, and unemployment insurance benefits. These services are primarily provided through state and local workforce development systems.

United States Department of Labor Disability Non-Discrimination Law Advisor

Welcome to the Disability Nondiscrimination Law Advisor. This Advisor is designed to help employers determine which federal disability nondiscrimination laws apply to their business or organization. The Advisor also helps recipients of federal financial assistance understand their responsibilities under these laws. The Advisor will provide you with a customized list of federal disability non-discrimination laws that may apply and links to detailed information that will help you understand your requirements under these laws. Employees, job applicants, applicants or participants in programs that receive federal financial assistance, and individuals receiving services from public entities may also find this Advisor helpful to learn more about their rights under these federal disability non-discrimination laws. 

Kansas Disability Program Navigator Initiative

Under the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, the USDOL Employment and Training Administration directed funds and resources to improve workforce services for individuals with disabilities. The Disability Program Navigator (DPN) Initiative was developed to improve physical and program accessibility to One Stop services and promote meaningful and effective job seeker participation in the workforce investment system.

WIA Section 188 Disability Checklist

The U.S. Department of Labor, Civil Rights Center (CRC), which is organizationally located within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, has developed this "WIA Section 188 Disability Checklist" to ensure nondiscrimination and equal opportunity to persons with disabilities.

Vocational Rehabilitation

Technical Assistance and Continuing Education (TACE) for the Vocational Rehabilitation System

In 2008 the Rehabilitation Service Administration (RSA) phased out the national network of Rehabilitation Continuing Education Programs (RCEPs) and introduced a new network of Technical Assistance and Continuing Education (TACE) Centers to support the public vocational rehabilitation system. TACE Centers provide advice, support, and training to state VR agencies and their partners. The Region 7 TACE Center serves Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas.
